The quality of the client-coach relationship is integral to the success of any coaching programme.
At the first stage of every coaching relationship Emma works with new clients to agree the most effective ways of working together. As a senior professional who is versed in the challenges of leadership, Emma adopts a highly commercial approach to her coaching practice.
Commercial and personal pressures can influence our working practices and overall performance. By committing time to map and work towards defined solutions Emma helps her clients to create the space to identify, commit to and focus on outcomes.
People select coaching for a broad range of reasons. It can be to add new energy and focus, increase self-awareness, develop in leadership or for stronger team working. It can also be to work through particular scenarios, like improving personal impact, personal effectiveness and career progression.

Emma mediates civil and commercial disputes and offers workplace mediation services.
Sometimes attempts to negotiate an issue can become stuck and relationships can falter or even break down. If the matter has progressed towards litigation or an irreconcilable breakdown, the financial, psychological and time costs can become all-encompassing. It’s never too late to look to mediation to help resolve a dispute and to prevent it from ending up in court.
Emma is a professionally qualified mediator with wide experience in human behaviour, communication and conflict management. Having worked in senior roles in legal services for over 10 years, Emma brings an appreciation of dispute resolution processes and of the client / lawyer relationship to her practice. Through the mediation process, Emma facilitates the parties involved in any dispute to reach their own solution. Solicitors and legal advisers are welcome in the process to support the parties as they may wish.
All mediation is confidential, judgement free and undertaken by the parties voluntarily. With a friendly, calm and highly professional approach, Emma ensures the process is flexible so that the parties involved can determine how it can best work for them. Emma’s focus is on encouraging the parties to develop the optimum resolution to meet their own objectives. You will find Lucid’s mediation fees to be competitive with market rates.

Emma combines her mediation and professional coaching expertise to coach people who are participating in a mediation.
Working beyond the typical scope of a mediator, as a professional coach, Emma coaches a party to help them engage in the mediation process and to develop their own resources to effectively participate in the mediation and beyond. This may include pre-mediation preparation, acting as a silent partner in the mediation and/or supporting the client in developing their conflict management skills for the future. It can also involve post-mediation support, including transitioning into a new agreement or even navigating a return to the mediation table.
Every person experiences conflict differently. As your coach, Emma will help you to gain a clear understanding of the mediation process and what it is you want to achieve. She will also share tools that can help you to communicate throughout the process of negotiation.
We create a meeting environment that allows you the space for discussion and an opportunity to collaborate and connect your thinking.
Many typical meeting formats in the business calendar are approached in similar ways when they come back around. Thinking of ways to do them differently can be a challenge. Emma provides facilitation support that adds creativity, ensures collaboration and commits to clear action planning.
Most of us can recall experiences of being in a meeting where the agenda is forgotten, when only a few of the voices in the room are heard, or where no real outcome has been concluded.
We plan, design and facilitate key board level, management, team and employee group meetings. You can focus on the discussion at hand while we engender team collaboration and widen creative thinking.
